Spring Summer Collection / Bath in Fashion

We were appointed as the official hair sponsor for Bath in Fashion for the 3rd year running. 

These images are from the Spring / Summer Collections 2012 styled by london fashion consultant Rebekah Roy. This show promised a mix of urban chic and street style cool from the collections.

Our inspiration for the show was a modern twist on the iconic 50's rockabilly look. Our stylists created this by back coming the hair and creating a full series of victory rolls on the top of the head with sleek sides and straight backs. This look created a beautiful profile and silhouette to the models and totally complimented the clothing worn on the runway.

Both shows were very well received by the audiences and we were elated to have such a wonderful compliment from Barbara Hulanicki the founder of Biba the iconic and popular fashion store in London throughout the 60's and 70's who came backstage to congratulate us on doing such a wonderful job with the hair.

Mimi Noor / SS12 Collection

Having previously worked with Mimi Noor designer denim boutique for her Autumn/Winter 2011 campaign we were delighted to have been asked to be the stylists for her Spring/Summer 2012 campaign.


Our company director Zac Fennell was provided an array of colourful mood boards from Mimi for the varying looks that she wanted to achieve. Inspired by the recent campaigns for Gucci, Ralph Lauren and other Vogue high end fashion editorials.

Zac came up with some truly inspirational ideas that completed the mood boards to perfection. Starting off with a soft loose bouncy look then going more extreme with a strong sharp couture finish. Ending with a full 80's tight spiral fro using knitting needles and straightners to create this effect.

Wedding Shoot / Royal Cresent Hotel

At Artizan we offer a variety of wedding packages to suit your needs. From full home visits, where we can take care of your whole bridal party in the comfort of your own home or hotel, to salon-based packages where you can grab a few moments of relaxation and pampering before your big event.

With years of experience to draw on, our stylists will help guide you through your initial FREE consultation, working with you to understand what your needs are. You will then be booked in for a trial run (chargeable). This is usually 3-4 weeks prior to your wedding. On this day your stylist will do a practical run through of the things you have discussed until you are happy with the finished result. They will discuss any tiara or flowers and other accessories you may want to have. Once you are happy with the final result your hair will be photographed and notes will be made. We will then let you know the length of time your hair will take and the appropriate appointment can be made for you.

Bridesmaids and family are another consideration. Will they need there hair doing? Would you like a full package that takes care of them also? All these details you can talk through with your stylist.

Prices are £45 (including the trial) per hour if you come into the salon or £100 per hour for home or hotel visits. Once your trial is complete, your stylist will let you know the final cost of your hair for the day.

Bath Uni Show

Artizan are always pleased to support charitable events and were happy to be involved with the Bath University "Rag Show" (Raise and Give) for the 8th year running. The annual event is a charity raising money for he Sue Ryder campaign.

Featuring clothing from varying high st brands such as Karen Millen, Animal, Pretty Eccentric, Traffic People, Moss Bros, Republic.

Our George St director Rob Cartwright lead the team with a brief to keep the feel of the hair, young, simple but with a contempory feel.

A variety of styles were created for the female models, mixing looks between flowing long soft curls and short cropped edgy cuts.

For the men a classic side parting but in keeping with the female  very natural and current looks rocked the runway.

Aveda Jewels of The Earth Collection

The Aveda A/W 2011 Colour Roadshow recently showcased their company's Jewels of the Earth Collection at the opulent and lavish London nightclub, Koko.

The collection itself took inspiration from a variety of sources, including the 1930s and the glamour of Hollywood goddesses from the 'silver screen'.

The collection launch was followed by Avedas in-salon coach, Zac Fennell Top Salon Stylist and company director for Artizan Hair who mastered a showstopping live demonstration with model Nicola from SHOOTDHS Models.
