Great British Hairdresser Zac Fennell |
Top Artizan stylist and co-director Zac Fennel is through to the last heat – the last 18 contestants - of the national TV show Great British Hairdresser.
Being aired on E4 on Monday nights, Great British Hairdresser is a new ten-week series in which the country's top hair stylists compete to be crowned Great British Hairdresser by stylists to the stars and best friend of Kate Moss, James Brown.
Zac’s Artizan client list already includes England and Bath Rugby stars, and Olympic champion Amy Williams. He survived the first two heats of Great British Hairdresser, competing against hundreds of other stylists to earn his place amongst the final 18. Next week, he will compete for a place amongst the final 10. He says: “I'm passionate about hair and love my profession so I was delighted to get to the final 18. I'm easy going, taking things in my stride and love a challenge and being put under pressure.”
Zac clearly performed well in the judges eyes as shortly after last Monday’s show, James Brown was quoted on his blog, saying: “How much did you love Zac? He’s such a lovely man. He has a lot of passion for everything he does in life and that will take him a long way.”
Watch Zac next Monday at 10pm on E4 to see if he makes it through to the final 10 contestants; they will be housed together, while James Brown and editor of Glamour magazine Jo Elvin decide who can and who can't cut it at the top of the industry. To pile on the pressure further, James and Jo will invite their celebrity friends along to help. Watch out for Lily Allen, Dannii Minogue, Jaime Winstone, Sadie Frost and Vidal Sassoon.
James and Jo will whittle away the contestants through a series of fashion-based weekly challenges. Model Abbey Clancy co-presents the show, following contestants every step of the way as they battle it out to win the dream assignment: styling the hair of an A-list star for the cover of Glamour magazine plus a year working alongside their mentor James.
Every show is also packed with James's hair tips and trade secrets so that viewers can achieve signature hairstyles made famous by the likes of Kate Moss, Cheryl Cole and Brigitte Bardot.
